Squad Leadership

  • Deb Lohnes

    Deb Lohnes has been a proud member of the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad since 1992 and currently serves as Assistant Chief. She brings decades of healthcare experience as a respiratory therapist with Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, where she has worked for over 38 years. In addition to her hospital role, Deb is an Advanced EMT with THRS. She is passionate about education, community involvement, and the squad life, always bringing her knowledge and dedication to the team and the people we serve.

  • Jack Kervin

    Jack Kervin is the Chief of Operations for the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad. He joined the squad in July 2024 as a paid EMT and quickly advanced through leadership roles before being appointed Chief in April 2025. Along the way, he earned his Advanced EMT certification. Jack is a dedicated leader who brings energy, professionalism, and a drive for excellence to THRS every day.

  • Jenny Scarpulla

    Jenny Scarpulla is a proud member of the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad, where she serves as Secretary and 2nd Assistant Chief. Known to many as the “emu lady,” Jenny is an entrepreneur, owner of Scarp Farm and Juniper Jill Cannabis Co. She is also a licensed physical therapist and is deeply involved in the local community. Jenny and her husband, Mike, ride at the squad on a weekly basis, bringing their dedication and passion for service to the team and the people we care for.

  • Rich Eisenhauer

    Rich Eisenhauer is a Captain with the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad and has been a dedicated volunteer since 2021. He brings valuable knowledge and experience to the organization and serves as the lead for Building and Grounds Maintenance. Rich plays a key role in keeping the facility safe, functional, and operational, while also continuing to serve the community as an EMT. His commitment, versatility, and hands-on leadership make him a vital asset to the squad.

  • Justin Berry

    Justin Berry serves as EMS Captain for the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad and brings more than 12 years of EMS experience across two states. A volunteer with the organization for the past six years, Justin is deeply committed to providing high-quality care and supporting the needs of our communities. His experience, leadership, and dedication to service make him a strong and trusted leader within the squad.

  • Jason Dupuis

    Jason Dupuis has proudly served the community for more than 10 years and currently holds the role of Vehicle Captain. A dedicated and reliable driver, Jason takes great pride in ensuring vehicles are safe, ready, and operated with professionalism. He is always willing to step up and help whenever he is able, consistently demonstrating commitment, teamwork, and a strong sense of service to both the organization and the community we serve.

Medical Director

  • Dr. Heidi Cordi

    Heidi P. Cordi, MD, MPH, MS, EMTP, FACEP is a nationally recognized emergency medicine and EMS physician. She serves at Albany Medical Center as Core Faculty for the Division of EMS, Associate Director of the EMS Fellowship Program, and EMS Coordinator for Rensselaer County. Dr. Cordi also holds academic and clinical leadership roles with Columbia University Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and is the Medical Director for Mohawk Ambulance. An internationally experienced disaster medicine expert, she has led and delivered EMS and trauma training for organizations including the United Nations and World Health Organization. Dr. Cordi is a co-founder of the American Board of Disaster Medicine, past President of the American Academy of Disaster Medicine, and recipient of the 2014 AAPS Disaster Medicine Physician of the Year award.
